Stargazer Book Review and Giveaway

Giveaway has Ended - Verified  Winners noted in Widget Below :D

I've been in search of a good Poetry book, something that I could really sink into, lose my thoughts in and mull over after reading.  This book really hit the mark!

  • Below you will find my review and thoughts for this publication by Rachel M. Patterson, links to purchase your own copy, an about the author section and a giveaway.  Make sure to come back daily for additional entries!

  • Paperback: 34 pages and contains 17 Unique Poems as well as personal sketches from the author herself
  • Publisher: Independently published (March 30, 2020)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-13: 979-8632076821
  • ASIN: B086L5DCXH
  • Purchase: Amazon

  • Amazon's only description for this publication is: A series of unique and emotionally charged poems, paired with sketches from the author.
  • Which does not really give it any credit.

  • I found this book of poetry to be engaging, powerful and beautiful.  I loved all the sketches mixed in from the author!  It gives that personal touch that you don't find often in books nowadays.
  • My absolute favorite Poems were Jagged Pit and Spiral - I found them to be very visceral reads.  While some of the poems I didn't, or couldn't, connect with, these two cut me raw, creating a powerful, emotional reaction for me.  I found myself still mulling over, not only the immediate reactions I had to them, but the unique way in which the author put the thoughts and words into motion on the page hours later.  That is the type of poetry I have been searching for.

  • Poetry is so intensely subjective... but I feel that this collection of poems will fill that poetry need for a multitude of personalities.  There are 17 poems in this publication and I can't wait to see what the author has to offer next!
