Kings
Crime Lords Part One
by Mandy Greenwood
Genre: M/M Mafia Romance

Kings: Misaki and Kristof are stunned when approached by their Boss to broker an alliance on behalf of the Omori-Vasilev Syndicate with a nearby group. But it was the terms of that alliance—marriage—which shocks them more. Neither wants a relationship, haven’t sought one in years and now they must convince the young heir of the Martel Group to choose one of them.

Dukes: Loyal to a fault, Demetri chose to remain in Ji-Hun’s pay despite the man casting him aside eight years ago. Despite his boss destroying any attempt by Demetri to seek love elsewhere. But will a brush with death change Ji-Hun’s mind?

Princes: Aidan doesn’t want to shoulder the responsibilities of his family’s business. Doesn’t want to have any part in his Grandfather’s attempts to form alliances with other groups through marriage. Desperate to end it, Aidan informs his family that he is gay, but he didn’t count on his Grandfather switching targets. Now Aidan’s world is being turned on its head because of two men.

He signalled for the bartender to keep the drinks coming, scowling when instead of a cocktail, a glass of water was placed in front of him. The bartender didn’t miss is look of disgust, leaning over the bar and whispered, “The boss would kill me if I let you drink anymore.” Aidan didn’t like the insinuation he was someone of importance to Kristof and required special handling.
Maybe he should leave, look for another establishment to drink at and yet Aidan couldn’t bring himself to move as a strange feeling settled over him. He cast his gaze over the bar again looking for danger, looking for… No, he wasn’t searching for them. Hadn’t come here hoping to see Kristof or Misaki, yet why else would he have wandered into a bar where the chances of seeing both men were high. Couldn’t deny that he wasn’t intrigued by the men his family expected him to choose from, while remaining determined that he wasn’t going to marry either of them.
And yet why did he feel as though that determination only went skin deep. A thought that scared him considering he wasn’t gay. No, his desire to learn more about the pair was nothing more than friendly curiosity. A need to discover what secrets they held from the rest of the world…
Why was Misaki so lonely, despite being a social butterfly flitting about the place with men desperate to have his attention. Aidan hadn’t missed the way Misaki’s smile never reached his eyes or the way he used words to deflect attention from his real self.
While Kristof was filled with an immense sadness and anger that he’d chosen to drown himself in. Hid it all behind an icy façade that kept everyone at arm’s length, and he wanted to know why. His curiosity piqued even more with Su-Jin’s comments that Kristof hadn’t always been this way.
And those thoughts scared him. Aidan had only met both men once, and brief meetings at that, yet they’d left an impression on him Aidan couldn’t shake. One that he’d not expected, and it frustrated, confused him.

A Kiwi born girl who spends a lot of time laughing at the antics of her three teenagers; disappearing into the worlds created by other authors or undertaking the often-pointless task of weeding her garden. Of course, first she needs to dislodge the cat from her lap.
